Tibetan Tea | བོད་ཇ - Big, Rough Brick
If Japanese hoji bancha had a nomadic cousin in Central Asia, this would be it.
This is the bigger, rougher, sibling of our 200g Tibetan bricks. Designed for everyday drinking of everyday people, it is crafted with leaves, stems and twigs.
This is a 10 kg brick. For convenience, we break it into smaller pieces and offer the tea in zip lock packs.
With the stunning highlands of Tibet in mind, nomadic people and aged butter churners, we were braced to find game and funk in this brew.
Instead, we found a surprisingly easy sipping, comforting tea. If Japanese hoji bancha had a nomadic cousin in Central Asia, this would be it.
As you experience this tea, it may remind you of the aroma in a wood fired sauna (with no people, of course) and cedar.
