Join us at O5 Tea Bar for an intimate Autumn Moon tasting devoted to two remarkable Chinese traditions: Fenjiu, one of China’s most historic distilled spirits, and Da You Pu’er, a Taiwan-based tea company devoted to producing and aging pure Pu’er tea.

About Fenjiu

Produced in Xinghua Village in Shanxi Province, Fenjiu (汾酒) is one of China’s most celebrated baijiu brands and the classic expression of the light-aroma style (清香型). Traditionally distilled from sorghum and fermented with a barley-and-pea culture, Fenjiu is known for its clarity and elegant aromas of grain, fruit and flowers. Compared with richer styles of baijiu, its profile is clean, fragrant and remarkably well suited to pairing with tea.

About Da You Pu’er

Founded by Mr. Liao Yi-Rong (廖義榮), Da You Pu’er Tea (大友普洱茶) is headquartered in Yingge, Taiwan, and has spent approximately three decades specializing in pure, unblended Pu’er tea. The company works directly in Yunnan, managing tea production from leaf selection through processing and aging. Its teas offer an opportunity to explore how origin, craftsmanship, storage and time shape the character of Pu’er.

The Tasting

During this guided experience, we will pair five Da You Pu Er teas with small pours of Fenjiu, exploring how their aromas, textures and histories intersect. We will conclude with a special tea-and-Fenjiu cocktail created by O5 Tea Bar manager Geoff Sugiyama.

Attendance is by RSVP only, with just 18 seats available.

We expect the event to fill quickly, so early booking is strongly recommended.
