This was a highlight of our 2022 Pu Er Club. .
------------------------------
This tea certainly lives up to its name. Easy is the perfect descriptor. The first few steeps are smooth and ever so slightly smoky, with a pleasant bite on the finish. As we go further with these leaves, we've found that the flavour lingers nicely, giving the illusion of intensification of flavour with each sip. The natural sweetness of these leaves presents itself in the later infusions, coupled with pleasant subtle minerality and hints of fresh bamboo.
Yiwu is one of the most valued Pu Er origins; its forests often express a delicate, floral aroma in tea leaves. For this reason, Pu Er collectors call Yiwu the ‘Queen Mountain’. This is a beautifully pressed tea cake crafted with equally stunning, very carefully chosen tea leaves from harvests between 2009 and 2016.
