Awe inspiring. The Himalayas stretch over 1,500 miles, one include Earth’s highest peaks. They rose as the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates collided, resulting into a mind-numbing range of local ecosystems, each one fostering a wide diversity of cultures.
2023 marked our first visit to Nepal, a vibrant, cultural mosaic. This relatively small Himalayan nation is home to over 120 different ethnic groups, from the ancient Newar communities of the Kathmandu Valley to the Sherpas of the high mountain regions, the indomitable Ghorkas and the indigenous Tharu people of the Terai plains. We were thrilled to source some glorious First-Flushes that rival in complexity their far more famous counterparts in Darjeeling.
