    This tea is made with a type of wild bush, similar to Camelia sinensis assamica, that is endemic to Taiwan.  Just like Oriental Beauty, the leaves are often bitten by insects. The tea is particularly sweet and gentle.

    If you're tea nerd, we recommend the article 'The confirmation of Camellia formosensis (Theaceae) as an independent species based on DNA equence analyses', published by Hsieh, Chang-Fu et al in the Oct. 2009 publication of Botanical Studies.  This article is available online.
