  • A relaxing herbal expression of British Columbia's forests.

    Nettles thrive in BC's lush forests.  Traditionally, folks attribute a wild variety of health benefits to this humble plant; we are no experts and prefer to focus on the relaxing, slightly savoury, caffeine free brew that we get from this wild plant.

    Origin:  Chilliwack, BC, Canada

    GPS:  49.1°N  121.9°W

     

    Brewing Guidelines:  1.5g (~2 big leaves), 240ml @ 100°C, 8 minutes.

     

    Sustainable Foragers:  Lauren and Stephen focus on the harvest and supply of locally sourced ingredients native to the lower mainland. With ethics of sustainability in mind, they consider nature a valuable resource that should be both studied and respected. 


    They started foraging in 2012 as a hobby out of curiosity, led by the question 'can I eat that?'.  Over time, after learning both from books and more experienced foragers they gained confidence to share the food they collected.
