ABOUT THE GROWER
Grandfather Pan, son of a Chinese Nationalist soldier (and former tea artisan) moved to northern Thailand, via Taiwan, in the 1960’s. He was delighted to find ancient tea trees in his new home, which he started handcrafting according to his family tradition. In 1969, he also pioneered planting Taiwanese oolong trees in the hills of his new home town; ahead of his time, Mr. Pan always insisted in sustainable farming.
This 2018 oolong is particularly sweet, reminiscent of the teas of central Taiwan. It is an exceptional value for money tea, delicious both gong fu style and as a “mizudashi" ice brew.
