ICE MOON - Huazhu Liangzi, 2020
-
This is super easy going Yunnan white tea, with stunningly beautiful leaves stone-pressed into 300g cakes.
With lighter notes than it's cousin Harvest Moon, we recommend making a long first steep (60"); once the tea awakens, however, it releases its flavour much faster. The mouthfeel is floral (honeysuckles) and leaves a very pleasant, dessert-like aftertaste.
The brush calligraphy on every single cake is unique.
A very young Yunnan tea, it is delicious to drink today; but we believe that it will only become more interesting with age.
