DRAGON CLAW L3 | VIETNAMESE WILD 'YA BAO'

Our first Dragon Claw offering from the winter of 2022 picking season.

Trà Móng Rồng (Dragon Claw Tea) is known as variety of the tea known as 芽苞 (Ya Bao, literally translated as 'bud') in Yunnan; its colour is green, with light tones of purple.

This tea follows the footsteps of two Dragon Claw offerings from the previous harvest season; in comparison, this lot offers thicker tea buds with enticing notes of pineapple sage and lemon rind.

Origin:  Tân Bắc, Quảng Bình District, Ha Giang, Vietnam

Brewing Suggestions:  pour 200ml of boiling water on 5-6 tea leaves; steep for 4-5 minutes.  You may steep these leaves about 5 times.  

Tea Artisan:  Pham N. is a very unusual leader for a tea factory in rural Vietnam.  Originally a city girl from Yan Bai, she studied agriculture and forestry science.  She is young, bright and fascinated by the ecosystem that produces Vietnam's glorious ancient tree teas.
